ANZ Committee BILT Further

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of inviting Ceilidh Higgins to the BILT ANZ committee. Since then, she’s been a stellar addition to the team with solid contributions to our marketing.
As many of you already know, RTC as an event has a new name and broader focus. In order to drive growth and support this change, we are continuing to build the team behind the event.
Last week, the committee met on site at the Adelaide Convention Centre to assemble the schedule for the 2017 event. We were joined by our newest addition to the team, and it is my pleasure to publicly welcome Mr. Chris Penn to the team.
Chris has been a formidable advocate for smart project delivery in Australia since he moved here from the UK in 2011. He has a strong track record in industry, having worked in various places and on some very prestigious projects. He’s best known locally for his work with the Hansen Yuncken and Leighton Contractors Joint Venture in building the $1.85Bn new Royal Adelaide Hospital project in South Australia.  He is also Vice Chairman for buildingSMART Australasia and has just been invited to represent the industry on the first Australian BIM Advisory Board (ABAB) set up by ACIF and APCC following the recommendations by Commonwealth in their SMART ICT report.
Chris’s passion and demonstrated commitment to industry improvement are among the personal attributes that I feel is strongly aligned with what BILT stands for. His contributions will be most valuable in developing related parts of future event schedules.  He’s been a great fit already within the committee, and as the committee’s only Adelaide-based member, he’ll be playing host to us all at next year’s BILT event.
