A #BILTeur Keynote That Dares to Disrupt You!
Is the emergence of artificial intelligence and block chain technologies a savior or destructor for the digital built environment? At our previous events we have explored the possibilities of generative design, we have witnessed how next-level data analytics are re purposing building properties on the fly and how algorithms have moved beyond simply replacing mundane workflows to potentially replace the human element in how we design, construct and operate our buildings and infrastructure.
While the naysayers are hailing disruptive technologies as the coming of SkyNet; we implore you to be ready for a new mindset; face the future, don’t avoid it. At our events we have a proud tradition of bringing you speakers that challenge your current perceptions; that inspires you to seek out new ways of working and who’s advice will help you furthering your career.
So which competencies are needed to stay on top of the digital built environment today and tomorrow? We don’t all have to learn coding or visual programming – but having technological intuition is going to be key; as technology will define tomorrow’s working environment. It is no secret that technology develops exponentially; but what does that actually mean? Imagine taking 30 steps forward – then you would have covered a distance of 30 meters. But if you take the same 30 steps exponentially you will get much further, first one, then two, four, eight, sixteen meters; after 30 exponential steps you would have circled the earth 26 times – and that is the difference between traditional linear and exponential growth. And that is what happens with the digitisation of our industry.
To challenge our preconceptions of what the exponential impact of technologies are, we have enlisted Anders Hvid – founder and CEO of Dare Disrupt – to kick off this year’s BILT Europe event in Aarhus, Denmark. Anders has more than 15 years of experience in bridging the gap between technology and business and one of the most requested Danish speakers on the topic of emerging technology, disruption and the future of business and society.
