Amazing Week In Singapore
Fantastic inaugural conference in Singapore and pleased so many of you could make it. Lots of positive reviews and as expected great suggestions for improvement.
As for me – I’m not headed back till next week! Formula 1 is this weekend and I’ll be catching up with an old friend from Revit days gone by.
In the meantime, I’ve been doing a bit of sight seeing. If you ever get to visit Singapore I think you’ll agree these photo opps will be the highlight of your trip!
First stop? Head over the the Marina Bay Sands for a drink on the roof deck. Expensive – but the view is free! That’s the Singapore Eye in the distance. Isn’t the city skyline magnificent?
Some of the best shopping is on Orchard Rd. Don’t be tempted to spend too much on lunch on your first day. Go to the basement of Lucky Plaza (across from Ngee Ann City) for a $3 lunch. After all this walking you’ll be ready for a relaxing Chinese foot massage!
Day two? The Zoo in Singapore is regularly rated one of the top in the world. The white tiger is statuesque and it seems like your right next to it in a very natural looking habitat.
Don’t worry about crime in Singapore – very safe! Amazing to watch how everyone is so polite to wait for the cross-walk signal. This never happens in New York City.
The Merlion is near the mouth of the Singapore river at Merlion Park. Fitting as Singapore started as a fishing village that has grown into a fierce international player.
Don’t be tempted to buy expensive brand name ice creams. Look for the street vendors selling ice cream slices wrapped in a spongy soft slice of loaf bread for $2.
That’s it – just a few of the memorable things I’ve been able to visit after RTC Asia. Hope you enjoyed the photo journey and will stop through Singapore on your next tour through Asia – hopefully before (or after) RTC Asia 2016!
