Better standards are within reach – here is a BCS session you won’t want to miss!
A major objective of the Building Content Summit (BCS) has been to bring awareness and share best practices to improve the quality of BIM Content regardless of whether it is being generated as generic or manufacturer-specific content. Better standards are within reach and there’s a BCS session this year you won’t want to miss.
Whether you’re just getting started or have great geometry that lacks standardized metadata, we’ve scheduled a great BCS session to deep-dive into the world of content standards. On Friday, August 10th at 1:30pm Dr Stephen Hamil, Director of Research and Innovation, NBS will lead Creating BIM Objects to International Standards.
In this discussion, Stephen will walk through how to create objects to this object standard using the NBS tools and guidance available. Topics such as naming conventions, classifications, international property sets, value types, geometry, space data, functional behaviour and meta data will be explored. During this demonstration Stephen invites you, the attendees to contribute your thoughts and ask questions.
