BILTna 2017 Keynote Speaker: Dave Rendall
After last year’s memorable Keynote by Ashraf Habibullah, CEO of Computers and Structure, Inc this year’s keynote speaker has some big shoes to fill! And I’m here with the great news that Dr. David Rendall is more than up to the task! Dave spoke at the 2016 ANZ conference and was wonderfully received.
Dr. Rendall has spoken to audiences on every inhabited continent. Clients include the US Air Force and the Australian Government, as well as Fortune 500 companies including, Microsoft, AT&T, State Farm Insurance and Ralph Lauren.
Prior to becoming a speaker, he was a management professor and stand-up comedian. He’s managed nonprofit enterprises that provided employment for people with disabilities and has more than twenty years of experience leading people and organizations. Between presentations Dr. Rendall competes in ultra-marathons and Ironman triathlons!
Dave’s a busy speaker and facilitator but he was kind enough to sit down for 5 minutes and 5 questions:
– Who is Dave?
I’m a speaker, author, husband, and father of three girls. I’m really tall and I wear more pink than most men.
– What keeps you interested?
I love to learn. I love ideas. I love to travel to new places and find out more about other cultures.
– Why do you do what you do?
I want to help people, families, schools, and organizations to succeed.
– What do you do when you’re not doing what you do?
I run ultramarathons (I ran two 50-mile races this year). I also compete in Ironman triathlons. And I drive my three daughters to school and gymnastics and swim practice and to friends’ houses. I’m basically their chauffeur.
– Why are your ideas important to people that design and build buildings?
I help people increase their energy and effectiveness. I help managers to improve employee engagement and productivity. I help organizations to become more innovative.
David has a Dr. of Management Degree in Organizational Leadership, as well as a graduate degree in Psychology. He is the author of three books! Expect to be inspired!
