RTC Events Management announces global platinum sponsors

RTC Events Management is pleased to formally announced two key global sponsorship agreements.

RTC Events Management convene events around the globe, facilitating sharing of knowledge around visualisation and design and construction technology. The namesake event (Revit Technology Conference) has grown over 10 years from a single local user group in Sydney to three events annually – held in Australasia, North America and Europe, with a launch into Asia planned in 2015/16.

Headquartered in San Rafael, California, Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) is a world leader in 3D design software for entertainment, natural resources, manufacturing, engineering, construction, and civil infrastructure. Autodesk will support each of the three RTC events in 2014 as global platinum software sponsor.

Jim Lynch, Vice President, Building Products Group at Autodesk is supportive: “Autodesk is proud to be the Global Software Sponsor of 2014’s RTC events. RTC gives our customers an opportunity to learn from each other, and also gives Autodesk the opportunity to meet and learn from some of our most active users and advocates in the AEC industry. We look forward to attending and working with the events that help inspire the energy and enthusiasm our customers bring to the Autodesk portfolio.”

Uniquely positioned as an independent ‘by users, for users’ event, it focuses on a variety of best-of-breed tools and practices related to Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Management, as well as industry change. It attracts an array of industry professionals and thought leaders from Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Owners and Facilities Management (AECO/FM).

Each event features multiple streams of presentations, forums and lab sessions – the latter requiring a significant amount of computer hardware.

As an alliance, HP and NVIDIA will also support each event in 2014 as the global platinum hardware sponsor. In addition to financial support, HP|NVIDIA will also provide the event with its computing hardware needs. The creation of data-rich building models can require powerful computing hardware, and HP Workstations fitted out with NVIDIA graphics hardware are used by many firms within the AEC industry for this purpose.

Jeff Wood, VP of Worldwide Product Management for HP Workstations and Thin Clients offered this joint statement along with Andrew Cresci, General Manager of Manufacturing Industries at NVIDIA:
“HP and NVIDIA are pleased to be a Global Sponsor for the 2014 RTC event series. As the workstation category and visual platform leaders, HP and NVIDIA provide AEC customers with the highest quality Autodesk certified workstations for BIM, with high performance and top tier image quality from NVIDIA’s Quadro professional graphics. We are proud to be selected as the hardware choice for RTC events.”

RTC Events Management founder Wesley Benn agrees: “These agreements are fantastic for our community – recognising the value of a collective of energetic, enthusiastic and passionate industry professionals and thought leaders. Support from our sponsors makes it more affordable for the community to convene face-to-face and actively collaborate, leading the industries we represent”.
