The Most Important BIM Book You Will Ever Read

Sorry Paul, Eddy & James. The most important book I’ve found to assist with a budding career in BIM is called “Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion” by a man named Robert Cialdini.

So why is this book important? Many of us are so deeply involved with BIM, that we think that its benefits should be obvious to anyone who beholds the power of 3D process. If this is so, then why do we so often come away from meetings with clients or management without actually getting what we want?

I believe it’s because we don’t spend enough time talking about how to “sell” BIM. Not in terms of the laundry list of benefits, that’s easy; but rather in the subtle tricks of persuasion that keep used car lots in business.

This book doesn’t teach you how to be a used car salesman, however it does give some pretty solid tips on how to sway decision makers and nay-sayers to your side of the argument…and that’s never a bad thing.

It’s been on the best sellers list for years and has helped millions of people already. It’s helped me a lot. You can check it out at Amazon.
