Will You Be There?
It’s that time at the RTC Events Management HQ in Sydney. For those unfamiliar with what I’m referring to, it’s conference packing week. Wesley Benn, the event Chairman flies out to Porto tomorrow with the rest of the team arriving over the week and weekend. It feels surreal to think that this is the last conference of the year and soon all of 2017’s conferences will commence.
Believe me when I say, that if you aren’t attending RTC Europe next week in Porto, you are missing out on a world of opportunities. Our conference is a ‘by users, for users’ conference. We have all of your favourite speakers presenting classes. Our classes are filling up with some having only a couple of spots left. Do you really want to miss out on the opportunity to enhance your knowledge? Think of all the key takeaways you can bring back to the office and implement immediately.
We have exhibitors from companies whose products you use on a daily basis. They will be showcasing their latest product releases.
As you know, we are not about all work and no play. There will be a number of opportunities at the social functions to network with like-minded individuals. We have two great evenings planned for you at Taylors Port House and the Palacio da Bolsa. We are also looking forward to closing our first day of the conference with the Welcome Function.
Staying at the conference accommodation has a lot of benefits. The most important being the coaches that we’ve organised, thanks to our sponsor Xinaps. Each day there will be coaches departing regularly to get you from the Sheraton and Porto Palacio to the Alfândega Congress Centre and back and also throughout the day….. just in case you need to pop back to your accommodation during the day. Not only that, for those arriving earlier, we’ve organised registrations at the Porto Palacio between 11:30 – 12:30 in the hotel lobby and at the Sheraton Hotel between 12:45 – 13:45 in the lobby area on the Wednesday, 19th October, we will then open registration at the Alfândega Congress Centre from 14:30 – 17:30, so you can pick up your name badge at the location that suits you best.
We pride ourselves in creating a sense of community for our conferences, you can say that we are one large family, that’s always growing, because the more the merrier. Staying at the conference accommodation adds to this notion. If you’re attending our conference for the first time, we highly encourage you to make use of this. You can continue to network and grow your connections after the conference has ended for the day. This is one of those times that you’ll be glad you brought ‘work’ back home with you.
Also if you’re flexible and are arriving early, why not attend our inaugural BCS Europe event taking place on Wednesday 19th October. This is the place you want to be to discuss all things Content. The BCS is a smaller, more intimate gathering of industry peers where we discuss the issues and solutions related to content. The format for this year will be ‘Perspective and Rebuttal’ sessions during the day and ‘Workshops’ in the afternoon.
If you’re making your way to Porto, we look forward to seeing you there.
If you’re not making your way, remember your competitors are attending, why aren’t you? Stay current – don’t get left behind.
